I created this in 2023 after having my first Paper Plane cocktail. It was nice, but I wanted something darker and sweeter, so I substituted Cherry liqueur for the Aperol, upped the bourbon, and hit it with some bitters. One of my signature cocktails!

The Cherry Bella

  • 2 oz. Bourbon (100 proof or higher)

  • 1/2 oz. Amaro Nonino

  • 1/2 oz. Heering Cherry liqueur

  • 3/4 oz. Lemon juice

  • 1/4 oz. Demerara syrup

  • 2-3 dashes Peychaud's bitters

A Scotty G Signature Cocktail

The Cherry Bella is my first original, signature cocktail, and one of my favorites! I hope you like it. Goes great with a medium-rare ribeye! For the music, how about some Bruce... Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J.

Hi, I'm Scott Gardner, your mindful mixologist. While I am not a professional bartender, I have made well over two hundred different and unique cocktails, and invented over fifteen original drinks, including my famous European Vacation, Muzetta's Waltz, and The Cherry Bella, all of which can be found in my book, Lock it, Flip it, Kick it & Shake!

Besides shaking, stirring, and sipping, I also enjoy golfing, reading, and writing. My wife and I both love animals and we have recently gotten into birding, which is a fun and rewarding hobby. And our favorite birds... The Philadelphia Eagles, of course! Go Birds!
