The Espresso Martini comes from bartender Dick Bradsell, who said that one night, a young, now-famous model walked up to the bar and asked for something to “wake me up and f**k me up”. He combined vodka, espresso, coffee liqueur and sugar, and poured it into a martini glass.

Add all ingredients to a shaker tin. Also express oils from a lemon peel - trust me! Add a large cube and shake for 10-15 seconds. Double strain into a chilled Martini or coupe glass. Garnish with 3 coffee beans*
An Espresso Martini
Why 3 beans??? This is the cocktail’s trademark and is said to represent health, wealth and happiness. Extra luck if you chew all three of them!
And the famous model??? Many claim it was Kate Moss, but she would have been too young at the time. Others say it was Naomi Campbell, which is more plausible!
